Kingdom Reserve U17 Boys Tournament Champions

The Kingdom Reserve U17 Boys Team was crowned champions of the Alliance FC Spring Invite over the weekend of April 21-22 in Grand Rapids. The team played a year up and won the U17 / U18 division. The Reserves had a record of 4-0-1 and outscored their opponents 11 to 1. They defeated the Under 18 Aurora Soccer Club out of Toronto, Canada, by the score of 4-0. Aurora had not given up a goal prior to the championship game. Head Coach Andy Fuehr commented on the tournament, stating that “This is a great group of young men that come from a variety of communities, who play for one another, and put their egos aside for the success of the team.” The team consists of players from Portage, Kalamazoo, Bellevue, South Haven, Gull Lake, Delton, Galesburg-Augusta, Marshall, Otsego, Mattawan, and Battle Creek.
